Paper & Lath:
Each roll of Double D paper contains 162 square feet (it is already doubled). When laying up the paper, start at the bottom and work the way up the wall. This way, the pieces above overlap the pieces below to allow for good drainage. If ordering paper by the pallet, they contain 144 rolls.
Each piece of lath measures 2'4" x 8' for a total of approximately 18 square feet. However, after overlapping the pieces 2" on vertical and 4" on horizontal - the yield per piece will be 16 square feet per piece. When using lath, keep in mind that is should be laid horizontally (8' running left to right). The lath should feel rough running up and smooth going down. Also, remember that if the wall has outside or inside corners that they need to be wrapped or corner aid needs to be used (If corners are butted up against each other rather than wrapped, they will crack the first time it freezes).
If ordering lath, it can be ordered 3 different ways: by the piece, bundle or pallet. A bundle has 10 pieces and a pallet has 25 bundles if using self-furring or 50 bundles if using flat.
* We recommend rounding up on all approximations, to ensure you have enough material.
