Using the Scale* To Pick Up Decorative Rock, Gravel and Natural Stone
Some items we carry, such as decorative rock, gravel and natural stone, are sold by weight. You'll use our vehicle scale* to get accurate measurements.
- Drive onto the scale and weigh your vehicle empty. The scale attendant records the tare weight on a ticket. Tell the attendant what you'd like to get and they'll direct you to the right area of the yard.
- Load up your product. You can do it yourself or our yard attendants will be happy to help you.
- Weigh your vehicle again with the product loaded. The scale attendant will note the new weight and the type of the product you loaded. You can continue the "load and weigh" process with different products until you have loaded all the product you are going to buy. When you're all done the attendant will give you the scale ticket.
- Park your vehicle, take the scale ticket into the showroom and pay for your product.
- Keep your receipt handy to present at the gate as you exit.
